Joe's work reflects a freshness that can only come from working directly from life. We the viewer's feel as though we are there beside Joe, seeing this amazing quality of light through his eyes.
Sherrie McGraw
"The quality that distinguishes an artist's work from the average is the quest for excellence. That quality is what marks Joe's paintings from that of his peers."
David A Leffel
"Joe Gyurcsak is a master who can handle any subject. He combines passion with discipline and minute observation. His acrylic paintings have a richness that cannot be surpassed by any oil painter I know."
Marcia Burtt
" Joe, in my estimation, is dealing with the important essentials in creating what I call "high art". He uses a very compatible design of abstract and realism. This turns his work into poetry!"
CW Mundy
Joe Gyurcsak's paintings are exceptional. His plein air style, both lose and confident, shows his dexterity as a painter. When I look at one of Joe's landscapes, I am immediately struck by his use of rich color and transcendent light. As a painter, I aspire to attain the intelligence and effortlessness achieved in his work.
